Any comments on my pursuit position? Got a bit of a gut so can't get lower. Probably a bit long on the front but being the good coach am sharing my pursuit bars with another rider who is taller than me and needs a 110mm stem where I am better on a 90mm.

Hamish, it looks like you could be a little further forward on the saddle. That would bring your leg angles to a more power-transmitting position and your elbows to near 90 degrees.
Hamish, what do you think about this new hand/arm position I read about on FGF to widen the elbows allowing for greater O2 intake? I use a very constricted/compact hand and elbow position (bent inward toward bike centerline) for pursuit and have always felt O2restricted. This would be a case of aero vs. available oxygen efficiency. Comments?

Not too bad, although since you have the gut that I have about 5 months ago and can't get any lower I'd work on getting your head down as low as you can whilst being able to maintain forward visability and then adjusting the helmet to suit. You only have to really see 20 meters and follow the black line. It's kinda sticking out there like a sore thumb.
Not sure what the elbow positioning is like for the aero bars, but I remember Peter Keen saying at a BCF conference (late 92 maybe early 93 - in reference to Boardman's wind tunnel testing with Lotus) that aerodynamics take priority over feelings of "being cramped" unless you were no longer able to control the bike properly for the duration of the event. It took Chris more than a few months to get to the position that was required.
I have to say that the front end of that bike looks really really short.
